The Information & Communications Services (ICS) Catalogue is the new name of the procurement catalogue previously managed by the Defence Communication Services Agency (DCSA). In April 2007, the DCSA became part of the Defence Equipment and Support organisation (DE&S), the UK Ministry of Defence's new single procurement and support organisation, and was renamed as the Directorate General Information Systems and Services (DGISS). The purpose for the catalogue remains unchanged; it represents a quality assured procurement vehicle for the provision of a wide range of specialist support, primarily to the MoD, but also to wider Government agencies, organisations and demanders. The catalogue facilitates an uncomplicated and easy contracting route for demanders to obtain specific support services quickly and at a rate that ensures value for money will be obtained.
VEGA is a recognised key supplier to the Directorate General Information Systems and Services (DGISS) (formerly the DCSA) and a member of the organisation's Captains of Industry forum. In the year ending 31 March 2007, VEGA was responsible for around 20% of the total revenue generated via the IS Consultancy category of the MoD ICS Catalogue. IS Security Support
